Acclaimed comedian Robin Williams has been sending sold-out audiences into full-blown belly laughs during his 35-city Weapons of Self-Destruction tour. Due to the show's high ticket demand, the iconic actor has announced 20 additional shows early in 2009.

The new dates pick up February 11 at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA, and continue through March 18 at the Performing Arts Center in East Lansing, MI. The jaunt includes a March 4-5 run at the Seminole Casino in Hollywoods, FL, as well as split performances on February 27 and March 12 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA.

Meet & Greet and Premium ticket packages will be available for all dates, along with regular tickets. Public onsales for the various ticket and package options begin through mid-November into early December, depending on the venue. According to Williams's official Web Site, additional dates are continued to be confirmed.

The Weapons of Self-Destruction tour is Williams's first American comedy tour in six years. When announcing the first round of tour dates, which began late in September, the comedian said 2008 was the perfect year to hit the road again.

"It's an election year, which is basically Christmas for stand-up comics," he commented in a statement. "And I figured I should get my ass on the road while the Shrub is still in office. A lot has happened in the world and in my life since I last did this six years ago, and there's no better thrill and no better therapy than getting on that high-wire in front of a live audience.

Radio City Music Hall taking top honors in venues rankings

Radio City Music Hall takes over the number one slot this week on strong sales for its Christmas Spectacular. The venue power scores an impressive 4.14 this week. Citizens Bank Park, home to World Series champs the Philadelphia Phillies, held its own in the number two slot this week as the Phillies won the Series in a two-part Game 5 played at the Park and sparking a brisk business for fans selling their ticket stubs. Citizens Bank Park has a power score of 3.47 this week.

Madison Square Garden (MSG) moves back up to the number three position this week. With a power score of 3.14, MSG can again thank sales for top performers such as AC DC Tickets and the upcoming Cirque du Soleil: Wintuk, as well as the new season of New York Knicks basketball for its continued high rankings. Up one slot this week to number four, the Gershwin Theatre Tickets has a power score of 3.08. TD Banknorth Center returns to the top ten this week in the number seven position. With a power score of 1.66, its reappearance is driven by strong sales for top selling artists such as AC DC Tickets, Tina Turner and Metallica. Up one to number eight this week is the Virginia/August Wilson Theatre. The Theatre, home to the long-standing hit Jersey Boys, power scores a 1.61. Next at the number nine position is the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. Driven by ticket sales for top performers such as Celine Dion and the upcoming season of its Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, the Center power scores a 1.39 this week.

Rounding out our top ten this week is the Toyota Center in Houston, TX, coming in with a power score of 1.30. The venue gets a boost back into the rankings this week from an impressive line-up of upcoming shows from top artists such as the The Eagles, Coldplay and Metallica as well as holiday favorites the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and a traveling company of Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular.

Tampa Bay Rays to add seats for the rest of the postseason

If you watched any of the Tampa Bay Rayshome games this season, you routinely saw thousands of empty seats. But now that the Tampa Bay Rayshave won the American League East crown and are one game away from a trip to the World Series, the team is having trouble keeping up with the demand for tickets to their playoff run.

To accommodate the huge response from fans, the Rays will be removing the tarps that cover seats in the upper level of Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. By removing the tarp, the team will open up 5,762 seats for ticket buyers.

"Even before we put our first Division Series games on-sale, interest in Tampa Bay Rays postseason tickets was extraordinary," Rays President Matt Silverman said in a statement. "Although the seating capacity we established provides an optimal fan experience, Rays fans have made it very clear that they want us to make every possible seating opportunity available. We are pleased to meet that demand."

The additional seats will be first opened up for the possible ALCS Game 6 against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, October 18. If the Tampa Bay Rays win tonight in Boston, the seats will make their premiere for Game 1 of the World Series versus the Philadelphia Phillies. According to the team's official site, upper deck seats will carry a face value of $25 per ticket in the ALCS, and $100 per ticket in the World Series.

Silverman also told the Tampa Tribune that some of the newly opened seats will be obstructed by the catwalks that line the roof of the "Trop".

During the regular season, the Tampa Bay Rays were able to compile the best home record in baseball at 57-24 and have only lost once there this postseason, in Game 1 of the ALCS.

"The Rays are so young and energetic, it gives you energy and makes you want to come on board," a fan told MLB.com. "That's how I see it at least."

Rascal Flatts extend tour with support from Jessica Simpson

After a summer of sold-out concerts across the nation, being on the road "Still Feels Good" to chart-topping country trio Rascal Flatts. So with the Rascal Flattslast concert of the 2008 season just a month away, the band announced that they will extend their Bob That Head Tour into 2009 with pop singer Jessica Simpson booked as the opening act.

According to the announcement on the band's Web site, the new leg of the tour is slated to start in mid-January. Approximately 25 shows are on the books, with specific information about dates, cities and on-sales to be announced later this fall.

"There is nothing more we love about music than performing across America on tour for our fans," lead singer Gary LeVox said in the announcement.

Rascal Flatts kicked off the 2008 tour on June 13 in St. Louis, MO, with opening support from the chart-topping country newcomer Taylor Swift and songwriters Neil Thrasher and Wendell Mobley. The trek continues with an October 9 performance at Resch Center in Green Bay, WI, and wraps with the group's November 1-2 set at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.

Since their eponymous debut in 2000, Rascal Flatts has resided at the top of the U.S. album charts. The band has had four consecutive albums peak at No. 1 on the country charts and three consecutive records chart at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. With all of their albums RIAA-certified Multi-Platinum and more than a dozen Top 5 singles, the band had plenty of material for their first "Greatest Hits" volume, due out October 28.

"We dreamed some big dreams. We were looking for the rocket ride. But I don't think we ever dreamed the things that have happened to us," lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney said of the band's rise to stardom. "Everybody in the industry sees the same charts and sales figures every week, and for us to see our names at the top of those lists gives us a whole different perspective. It's gratifying and it's humbling."

Best known for her pop songs, Jessica Simpson recently released her country-crossover, "Do You Know," on September 9. Though the album received lukewarm reviews, it peaked at No. 1 on the country charts and at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The upcoming Rascal Flatts tour will be Simpson's first long-term road test for the material in the U.S., since she booked only a handful of shows late in the summer to support the release.

Last chance for Cher, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss tickets

In the final stretch of her 2008 residency at Caesers Palace in Las Vegas, Cher is just one of the major acts making her last curtain call during the week ending October 6.

The iconic and glitzy singer, who signed a 200-show deal for a three-year period at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace, is ending her 2008 run on October 5. Cher was forced to cancel the remainder of her shows last weekend after falling ill on Friday, so fans who missed out then might want to catch the final performances this week. Bette Midler will take the stage at the 4,100-seat venue following Cher's departure.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are also winding down the final leg of their 2008 Raising Sand Tour, which began its first North American jaunt in the spring. Following this run, the former Led Zeppelin frontman stated that he will take a lengthy break from the road -- no reunion tours on the books. Another powerhouse touring duo is closing a national headlining tour over the weekend. Maroon 5 and Counting Crows wrap their joint venture on October 4, though the Crows will fly on with a batch of solo performances in the U.S. and Europe.

In the wide world of sports, two NASCAR series events will take to the circuit at Talladega Super Speedway this weekend. The Craftsman Truck Series hosts the Mountain Dew 250 on Saturday, followed by the Amp Energy 500 for the Sprint Cup Series on Sunday. Ticket sales are also winding down for Sunday's WWE No Mercy bout at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR.

Last chance for Farm Aid, New York Yankees tickets

The end of regular season baseball is just around the corner as eight teams, including the New York Yankees, host their final home games throughout the week ending September 22.

Though playoff positions are not in the cards for any teams closing the home season this weekend, tickets to the Yankees game will be particularly hot items. The September 21 game against the Baltimore Orioles will be the final at-bat for the pinstriped empire in the historic Yankee Stadium.

Farm Aid 2008 will rock crowds at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA, this weekend. The one-day concert features headlining sets by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews, among others.

Some big name tour pairings will part ways this week, starting September 18 with the final night of Taylor Swift's tenure with Rascal Flatts. On September 20, Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry will also take the same stage for the last time before continuing on their separate itineraries.

"Last Chance" information is compiled at the beginning of the week, based on touring acts whose current itineraries are closing over the course of that week. The availability of tickets for Last Chance events depends on primary and secondary seller inventory, and may vary as tickets are sold in the days leading up to each event.

AC/DC tour announces first dates for 18-month 'Black Ice' trek

Legendary rock band AC/DC will get the "rock 'n' roll train" rolling next month with the first leg of the extensive 18-month Black Ice World Tour. The trek opens with a 23-city North American jaunt on October 28 at Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and continues through December 18 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.

The arena tour swings through major markets from coast-to-coast in the U.S., and includes two Canadian shows: November 7 at Rogers Centre in Toronto, ON, and November 28 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC. Other highlights include November 12-13 run at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, and a December 6 show at The Forum in Inglewood, CA.

North American onsales are slated to begin September 20, with specific venue sale dates and prices to be announced. The Black Ice World Tour marks the band's first return to the road since 2001, AC/DC's longest hiatus since its founding in 1973.

The tour supports AC/DC's fifteenth studio album and first release in eight years, "Black Ice," which is set for an October 20 world release date. According to a statement from the band, the album's U.S. release will be sold exclusively in Wal-Mart and Sam's Club, as well as on the band's Web site. The first single from the album, "Rock 'n' Roll Train," is currently No. 5 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock charts.

According to Billboard the band will continue their comeback in South America, Europe and Asia. World dates have not been released yet.

Yankees season ticket prices announced for new stadium

In a span of less than two years, four of New York's elite sports franchises will be moving into new luxurious stadiums promising to give fans a more enjoyable experience on game day. But in the months leading up to their respective openings, fans seem to be hearing more and more news about how their favorite teams will be reaching into their pockets.

In the past month, the Giants and Jets announced their personal seat license policies, and now this week the New York Yankees announced season ticket prices at the new Yankee Stadium set to open prior to the 2009 season.

For seats located just beyond the outfield wall, fans that purchase the full season package will be asked to fork over between $75 and $100 per ticket. But for fans that enjoy the experience of sitting in the bleachers of the old Yankee Stadium will be able to seamlessly move to the new stadium as the price for bleacher seats will go unchanged, remaining at $12 apiece.

Back in March, the Yankees announced their huge asking price of $500 to $2,500 for tickets to sit in premium seats that are located behind home plate. Despite the high asking price, the Associated Press reported that the team has sold more than 3,500 of the 4,300 premium seats.

"Other than those 4,300 seats, which are going to subsidize everybody else, the prices are not [being raised significantly]," Yankees COO Lonn Trost told the AP. "And remember, 24,000-plus seats will have no price increase at all."

For fans who are looking to purchase only partial season ticket plans of 41 or 20 games, only certain sections will be available. Those that are available include the least expensive field level seats, two most inexpensive main level sections on the main level and all of the terrace level each at $5 to $10 more than the full season ticket price. The grandstand and bleachers are also available for partial season ticket holders at no increase in price.
